This year marks 25 years since the Formula One circus first went behind the former Iron Curtain for the Hungarian Grand Prix. However, you have to go back another 50 years for the first race of that name. That was before F1 but at a time of German domination of Grand Prix racing. The mighty Auto Union and Mercedes-Benz were the teams to beat but the legendary Tazio Nuvolari, in an under-powered Alfa Romeo, had other ideas.
