Grand Prix TV Art

GPTV Art—Button 2009

This is the first in a series of artistic photos we are presenting developed by F1A&G. They are based on television screen captures from Grands Prix offered for download — one of the little non-copyrighted and Flash-protected content Bernie makes available — at Formula One’s official site. Much Photoshop (actually Lemke Graphic’s Graphic Converter) work and rendering to create what we hope you will agree are stunning images of F1.

This is Jenson Button leading Fernando Alonso on the way to winning the Australian GP and the World Championship for the meteoric but short-lived Brawn GP team in 2009. The telephoto lens compresses the perspective and the blur effect from changing focus is awesome. Looks more like a watercolor painting than a photograph.
