No Skirts

When it comes to vintage documentaries about Formula One racing, no one beats the BBC. This fantastic old film dates to 1981 and covers the Williams F1 team (Williams Grand Prix Engineering) in the offseason as they developed a new car without the “ground effects” skirts, pioneered by Colin Chapman’s Lotus 78, that were banned by the FIA’s technical regulations after the end of the 1980 season.
